Our silk route is exclusively French! From the purchase of our silk in France, it is a journey that crosses Paris (creation), Laval (confection), Lyon (sewing) to return to Mayenne.

AMICALEMENT SOI was born from a meeting between its founder and the Feinte family, at the head of “Tissus d’Avesnières” in Laval.
Since its creation in 1881 in Armentières, this textile factory has remained 100% family owned. It seeks to perpetuate the tradition of printing while actively following the latest developments in manufacturing techniques.
Textile enhancer par excellence, Tissus d’Avesnières prepares, dyes, prints and finishes furnishing fabrics, table linen and textiles for leather goods, in its Mayenne workshops.
A traditional workshop 🤝
A few kilometers from Lyon, in Montchal, is our second “SIFT” factory which receives our printed silk. In expert hands, the silk is meticulously cut and sewn. The rolled finish of our squares is a skill of the Lyon region.
Each scarf is then finished by hand by the nimble fingers of our seamstresses in this beautiful family factory.
Back to Laval 🎁
The squares are then sent back to Laval for packaging, a recycled cardboard packaging supplied by a French factory that we have personalized using “Tampons de Paris”. Once the packets are ready, it's time to send them so that these Amicalement Soi squares become Amicalement Your!
Combining know-how, tradition and Made in France, the proximity of our workshops is essential. But always being able to do better, the exploration of new ethical matter is our next challenge. Stay Tuned!!

BEHIND AMICALEMENT SOI, IT'S ANGÉLIQUE GRUAU
Parisian and Mayennaise, Angélique has sought to dust off the classic silk square to make it an everyday accessory.
“Amicalement Soi", it's cinema, color, music, family, elegance, sensuality, extravagance, travel, history, friends, aesthetics and ethics. »
Angélique grew up with a desire for permanent creation, drawing inspiration from her books, cinema, music, architecture, sculpture and all artistic activity. Angelique likes to create, observe and share. From the age of seven, she used her hands to create by modeling clay. Then comes the embroidery and very quickly learning to sew with the family machine. As a teenager, she naturally went to a high school of applied art to continue her apprenticeship at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne then at the Atelier Chardon Savard. His desire to create never ceased to grow. Thirsty for learning, Angélique discovered craftsmanship at the tailor Cifonelli in Paris during her studies after her classes, learning, observing this unique know-how of tailoring.

After theory, comes practice. Angélique will be assistant stylist for the fashion houses Rabih Kayrouz, Christian Wijnants and Coralie Marabelle. She then had the chance to perfect her knowledge as a graphic designer and colorist for the printing workshop “Les Tissus d’Avesnières”.
Currently a master's student in textiles at the Accademia de Costume e Moda in Rome, Angélique also wears her brand "AMICALEMENT SOI".
